The Inside Story of the Greatest International While this isn’t necessarily a pro-US or private industry bent, it can be seen that way without little imagination. Aside from that, this book provides a nice overview of the state of how the airline manufacturing industry functions or stumbles precipitously.
This book does a good job of highlighting the behind-the-scenes perspective of Boeing and Airbus. However, Airbus quickly succumbed to the same complacency it once challenged, and Boeing regained its precarious place on top.
