Kinda don’t want her to be the love interest There are a number of twists and turns that amp up the suspense a bit, but this could have benefitted from being a tighter, leaner book with more appealing characters among the cops. This book was recommended to me on Goodreads by Bips sometime ago and for whatever reasons I have continually put it to one side while I read another book.

Well tiptych week I am trying to catch up on my recommendations and it is proving to be very successful. I’m already rooting for this underdog-type detective. Refresh and try again. I have many bookies in love with Will Trent and while I’m not there yet. He is working the case to figure out who the killer of the women is. This was eerie as hell. Just like my first foray with Karin Slaughter thanks to Pretty GirlsI once again come away slaugjter my reading adventure with hearts in my eyes.

Will Trent is a very intriguing character. The rapist has progressed to murder, leaving a black prostitute dead near her apartment in the projects. But the first half led me into thinking that this would be The Crime Masterpiece.
